Saints Over SynodsWhy This Exists
A great wooden ark rides violent seas beneath the illuminated letters S O S. A saint at the bow looks to Heaven; a bishop at the stern scatters papers to the wind. A crucifix is lit by a beam of light, and the Blessed Virgin Mary stands within the O. SaintsOverSynods.org is lettered along the hull.

God help us.

The saints answered this already.

The agenda wants new opinions.

Centuries of clarity.

or

Four years of discussions.

The saints left an answer. The agenda leaves it unopened.

Truth isn't

Up
For

A vote.

The old truth still stands. The new agenda just walked past it.

The saints did not inherit easy answers. Their wisdom was forged through prayer, suffering, sacrifice, fidelity, persecution, contemplation and, sometimes, martyrdom.

Before reopening what generations of saints understood, perhaps we should first listen to what they actually said.

The saints didn't need a vote. The synod does.

Before we ask what's new,
let's remember what's true.

Saints Over Synods returns to the men and women who lived the Catholic faith with extraordinary fidelity.

Not because every saint faced every modern question. But because holiness gives us something committees cannot manufacture: wisdom tested by a life completely surrendered to God.

The Saints

Recover their words, lives, courage and spiritual insight.

The Faith

Return to Scripture, Sacred Tradition, the Catechism, councils, Fathers, Doctors and enduring Catholic teaching.

The Questions

Examine today's controversies in the light of what the Church has already received.

The saints finished the sentence. The meeting starts it over.
